Abstract

In the aim of this study is to determine the workload perceptions and present occupational satisfaction levels of healthcare professionals under the pandemic conditions and compare them according to demographic characteristics. The study covered all healthcare professionals providing medical service in university, private and public hospitals which operate in Gaziantep. The survey form prepared on Google Forms was shared on social media (Facebook, Whatsapp, etc.) between 24.06.2020-25.09.2020. Responses from 307 healthcare workers were used in the analyses. According to the results of the analysis, the occupational pleasure level of male employees was found to be higher than that of females. It has been determined that the age of the employees, the type of occupation and the type of institution or organization worked have an effect on the level of occupational pleasure. In addition, it has been determined that there are significant differences between various age groups, professions and types of institutions in terms of occupational pleasure level.
