The core argument of the study is that sustainable and inclusive economic growth cannot be achieved through isolated policy interventions, but rather requires strong coordination and complementarity among policy domains. Accordingly, the analysis focuses not only on the individual effects of these policy areas but also on their interactions and systemic outcomes.

The study adopts a conceptual and forward-looking analytical approach, evaluating the relationships among macroeconomic stability, growth, employment, productivity, and income distribution within a theoretical framework. The findings indicate that monetary and fiscal policies play a decisive role in ensuring price stability and fiscal sustainability, while employment, human capital, and income distribution policies shape the quality and inclusiveness of economic growth. Trade policies are highlighted as a complementary component in this structure, particularly in terms of financing growth and maintaining the sustainability of the current account balance.

Overall, the study demonstrates that the success of macroeconomic policies depends less on short-term objectives and more on long-term strategic planning, institutional capacity, and policy coherence. In this context, the proposed holistic policy approach offers important policy implications for strengthening economic stability and enhancing social welfare.
Levent AKSU Copyright (c) 2026 PEARSON JOURNAL https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/635 Wed, 04 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0300 Critique of Philosophical Megalomania: Doing Philosophy According to Karl Popper https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/640
In addition to being a philosopher of science, Karl Popper is a thinker whose original ideas in politics, epistemology, ethics, and other areas of philosophy have compelled his contemporaries to engage with and critically assess his work. Central to Popper’s philosophical thought are questions such as: What should be the fundamental problems of philosophy? Is there a language specific to philosophy? What are the obstacles that make doing philosophy difficult and render it obscure? In this study, we aim to evaluate these perennial philosophical questions from Popper's perspective. According to Popper, the greatest value of philosophy lies in revealing unnoticed contradictions and problems. Philosophers are not a privileged class, but questioning individuals. Popper argues that philosophical problems are not merely linguistic puzzles but are grounded in facts, hypotheses, and logical inferences. As can be seen, Popper’s philosophical approach distinguishes itself from many of his contemporaries by being both critical and problem-oriented. He defines philosophy as a quest for truth and rejects Plato’s notion of the philosopher as a superior figure, as embodied in the “philosopher-king” ideal. This study has been prepared with the belief that Popper’s approach to philosophy and the philosopher may offer valuable insights for resolving contemporary epistemological confusions. Our article is approached using philosophical analysis and interpretive qualitative methods. When necessary, conceptual analysis and critical evaluation are also included.
Rafiz MANAFOV Copyright (c) 2026 PEARSON JOURNAL https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/640 Wed, 04 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0300 Neolitik Çağ’da Üretim Sürecinde Zanaat ve Zanaatkârlık https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/634
During the Neolithic Age, food procurement activities, which were carried out within the hunter-gatherer paradigm, gave way to an economic structure based on animal domestication and agricultural production. This social transformation brought about significant changes in living habits. The establishment of settled life following the construction of dwellings during this period enabled the development of new production models, primarily crafts. The process of making tools from stone and bone, which was predominant in pre-Neolithic societies, was supplemented by different methodological stages, including pottery and weaving, with the practice of settled social structures. Production techniques in craft activities diversified over time. This situation led to the differentiation of craft practices based on different trades. This differentiation enabled the emergence of diversified fields of activity. Stonework, pottery and weaving were the most common practices in social sociology. These different production sectors enabled the further spread of division of labour in Neolithic societies. Craft workshops, where individuals with specific skills produced goods, held an important place. Small-scale workshops producing goods based on raw materials such as stone and clay emerged in regions with economies based on agriculture and animal husbandry. This production process, shaped around natural resources and raw materials, continued to develop after the Neolithic period.
Sırrı TİRYAKİ, Serdar MİĞAL Copyright (c) 2026 PEARSON JOURNAL https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/634 Wed, 04 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0300 Social Acceptance of Artificial Intelligence: The CanikFest Case Study https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/639
The social acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) systems depends not only on technological adequacy but also on socio-technical conditions such as trust, transparency, and ethical governance. Multinational public opinion surveys show that attitudes toward AI fluctuate between perceptions of “benefit” and “risk,” while confidence levels remain cautious in most countries (KPMG, 2023; Poushter, Fagan, & Corichi, 2023; Vogels, 2023). This study discusses the role of the Information Path strategy (interventions aimed at increasing AI literacy) in increasing trust in AI and how this role operates through two critical mechanisms: (i) reducing uncertainty through explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) (Berger and Calabrese, 1975; Gunning vd., 2019; Lundberg & Lee, 2017; Ribeiro, Singh, & Guestrin, 2016) and (ii) the formation of cognitive trust in the competence of AI engineers (Mayer, Davis, & Schoorman, 1995). The study analyzes the relationships between the dimensions of AI literacy (awareness, usage, evaluation, and ethics) and the variables of trust/acceptance through hypotheses based on survey data (N=713) collected from participants attending the CanikFest Artificial Intelligence themed event.
Berker KILIÇ, İrfan GÜMÜŞ, Esra, Nagihan GÜMÜŞ, Elif DEMİRCAN, Aysima ŞENTÜRK, Zehra KAYA, Özge ÜNAL, Özge TURNA, Cansu AYDIN, Gökhan BÜYÜK, Fatma Beyza YILMAZ, Havvanur ORUÇ ÇOBAN Copyright (c) 2026 PEARSON JOURNAL https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.pearsonjournal.com/index.php/pub/article/view/639 Wed, 04 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0300
